Diavolezza offers one of the most spectacular mountain panoramas in the Alps. A short cable car ride from the Bernina Pass carries visitors to over 2,900 metres, where the landscape opens onto a world of snow, ice and granite.
Directly ahead, the Pers Glacier flows from the slopes of Piz Palü, its broad surface winding through the valley below. Beyond it rises the Bernina massif, crowned by Piz Bernina, the highest summit in the Eastern Alps. Together, these peaks form one of Switzerland's most iconic alpine landscapes.
Piz Palü is impossible to overlook. Its three summits and long snow covered ridge dominate the skyline, while crevasses and icefalls reveal the slow movement of the glacier beneath. The scale of the mountains becomes even more apparent as tiny figures cross the mountains on ascents, offering a reminder of just how vast the landscape really is.
